Lion Copolymer Services, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lion Copolymer Holdings, LLC and a sister company of Lion Elastomers LLC, purchased assets of East West Copolymer, LLC, located at 5955 Scenic Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The sale was approved in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana on May 19, 2017 and the transaction closed on May 26, 2017.

Lion Elastomers is reviewing the condition of the assets, which began operation in 1943 and were built by the U.S. government during World War II. The site will be decommissioned and will remain idled while Lion Elastomers evaluates its strategic options.
