News: Lion Elastomers continues to develop new high-performance polymers

Oct 29, 2015

Lion Elastomers continues to develop new high-performance polymers to continually improve its product line, and we have created the best blend of performance, processability and cost. We would like to introduce Royalene® 515 to our list of available products, previously developed and field tested under the experimental designation, Royalene 151.

Royalene 515 is a new non-oil extended EPDM polymer with very high molecular weight, high diene content and low ethylene/propylene ratio that could be used in both dense and sponge extruded profiles. The high molecular weight of the polymer and its unique molecular architecture allow the higher loadings of fillers and oil to lower the compound cost while maintaining the cure rate, surface appearance and physical properties.

New production of this grade after Nov. 1, 2015 will be classified and labeled as Royalene 515. If you have questions about this new product, or about any of our products, please contact your Lion Elastomers Account Representative or Technical Service.
