Construction Adhesives Overview
Lion Elastomers is the leading provider of crosslinked and non-crosslinked hot polymerized emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber (ESBR) for the adhesives and sealants industry.
The crosslinked polymers are excellent for use in construction adhesives and mastics-improving adhesion to various substrates, such as drywall, subfloor, wood trim, ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, plywood, polystyrene foam and fiberboard. They offer controlled expansion and sag resistance when used with other low molecular weight polymers.
Our non-crosslinked polymers are recommended for a variety of applications, such as construction adhesives and mastics, panel, spray adhesives, and caulks and sealants. Typically applied in solvent-borne systems, often with a tackifier, these polymers produce cements for bonding, sealing and spray applications.
